"Cuisine From The Earth, The Way Nature Intended"
Row Fourteen’s kitchen is agile and moves with the seasons.
We create meals that are directly curated by the land, the farmers, and our chefs' intuition. Our mission is to cultivate a better relationship between organic produce and creative cuisine through the collaboration of chef and farmer.
In celebration of the bountiful Similkameen Valley and its surrounding regions, we pride ourselves on knowing that the produce prepared and served is very often harvested less than 500 m away from where it is enjoyed. We give priority to product quality, soil health, biodiversity, and animal well-being while taking part in the circular food system established by the farmers at Klippers Organic Acres.
Being situated on a regenerative farm, allows us to bring the term 'farm-to-table' to a whole new level. Thanks to our location, our dishes are extremely seasonal and nutritious as well as economically and ecologically sound.
Furthermore, with a strong focus on British Columbia (the Interior, in particular), we are proud to work with and support many local producers whose values align with our own. From celebrating local world-class wines to welcoming wild foods foraged in the surrounding hills to embracing animals raised with care; our restaurant is committed to creating and maintaining partnerships that respect entire ecosystems.

Row Fourteen's History
Located in the narrow Similkameen Valley in the town of Cawston, BC, Row Fourteen restaurant was built in the 14th row of Klippers Organic Acres' apple orchard.
Row Fourteen is the realization of desire by two farmers and a chef to go beyond ‘farm to table’ by instead bringing tables directly onto the farm. The Klippensteins have been making weekly trips from the Similkameen Valley to Vancouver for many years, supplying many of the best restaurants in the city with choice organic produce.
Before Row Fourteen's conception, one of the chefs they would see on their weekly rounds was Derek Gray. Having been at the helm of some of Vancouver’s most influential restaurants, Derek spent much of his time pursuing the best, freshest local ingredients.
In 2018 Derek came to visit Kevin & Annamarie at the farm to get a better feel for where the food he was serving came from. Eating a perfectly ripe peach picked straight from the tree proved to be an epiphany moment. The idea of welcoming people to enjoy food cooked on the land in which it was grown was irresistible.
Over the next couple years the vision grew to encompass and celebrate the bounty of our region; world class wines made by our neighbours, wild foods foraged in the hills surrounding the farm and animals raised with care by people who share our values of soil health, respect for whole eco-systems and the well being of their animals.
Since opening in 2019 the team has continued to evolve this vision, striving to create an innovative and meaningful connection between the kitchen, the people and the land that supports it.
