Klippers Organics

Our Apprenticeship Program

We're always looking for passionate, sustainable-minded, and hardworking individuals to lend a helping hand on our farm. Apprenticing at Klippers Organics is a great way to learn about how organic farming works on a day-to-day basis - low input farming practices, seed propagation, extending growing seasons, harvesting, farm management, selling to local markets, and much more. Get hands-on experience working in the beautiful Similkameen Valley at our certified organic farm.

Our apprenticeship program runs yearly, beginning in the spring (March to May) and ending in the winter (November to February). We take on four to eight interns per year, who stay for a minimum of three months at the farm.

What you'll gain:

  • Months of hands-on experience on a farm.
  • A network and community of like-minded people.
  • Experience with a variety of tasks - everything from sowing, planting, and harvesting organics to working at a market, helping to run a CSA program, and understanding how the farm works as a whole.
  • An opportunity to work in an established and certified organic farm in the Okanagan, right around the corner from great hiking, biking, fishing, and canoeing.
